Professional Individuals

Sian Negal is the Founding Director of No Average Joe and leads the practice with a hands-on, values-led approach.

With over 20 years in the recruitment industry, Sian brings deep expertise across Permanent, Executive Search, Interim/Contract, and Portfolio recruitment. She began her career with one of the UK’s largest corporate recruitment firms before moving to leading sector specialists in London, where she worked alongside some of the best in the market.

Recognising a need for a more personal, strategic, and values-driven service, Sian established No Average Joe to offer exactly that.

Throughout her career, Sian has built long-standing relationships with business owners and senior leaders across both the private and not-for-profit sectors, with a strong focus on Accounting and Finance roles across London, Kent, and the South East.

Her market knowledge is extensive. Having supported organisations through complex transformations and challenging economic climates, Sian offers a resilient, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach to recruitment.

People are at the heart of what she does. She’s driven by the knowledge that great connections change lives—helping individuals realise their potential and enabling businesses to thrive through exceptional leadership.

Sian’s success is rooted in her transparent, straightforward approach and her commitment to No Average Joe’s core values: Trust, Honesty, Integrity, Listening, and Authenticity—brought into every interaction, every time.

Beyond

No Average Joe

When she’s not working with clients and candidates, Sian can often be found spending time with her family (both human and canine), exploring the woods, practising daily meditation, or getting her fitness fix at boot camp. She’s also deeply passionate about giving back to the community. Sian volunteers with The Malling School’s careers service, supporting students in Years 11–13 with employability skills and conducting mock interviews to help local young people become work-ready. Additionally, she actively supports the Heart of Kent Hospice, offering assistance both on the ward and within the local community.
